JVE Technologies Supplemental Service Plan (Proactive)

JVE Technologies, as the dealer and on-site service provider for the manufacturer's Extended Coverage Service Package, offers a supplemental service plan designed to limit the customer's financial risk with regard to repairs and maintenance on computers sold by JVE.

This supplemental service plan runs concurrent with and is contingent on the manufacturer's Extended Coverage Service Package being in force.

Not only does the Proactive Plan "fill the gaps" between the coverage provided through the manufacturer's Extended coverage Service Package and the costs (primarily technician labor) that must be borne by the customer, it provides additional scheduled preventive maintenance services to help ensure maximum "uptime' for the entire computer system.

What Is Covered

  • Labor associated with the removal and replacement of any failed hardware component, whether or not that component is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Labor required to install the Windows operating system, if the hard disk drive is replaced.
  • Labor required restoring any and all data files that are contained on the client's backup media.
  • Technician time required to reconfigure the workstation for network and internet connectivity.
  • Time required contacting the manufacturer, securing the Return Authorization, and packaging and shipping the failed component.
  • Regularly schedule don-site preventive maintenance of all covered hardware.
  • Downloading and application of software and hardware updates, "bug fixes" and security patches.
  • Regularly scheduled remote diagnostics for the covered hardware, including backups and security.

What is NOT Covered

  • Shipping charges.
  • Packaging materials.
  • Other out-of-pocket costs related to the securing of the Return Authorization.
  • The cost of replacement components that are excluded from the manufacturer's warranty coverage, whether due to expiration of the manufacturer's warranty, neglect, external damage as the result of electrical issues, or any other provision of the manufacturer's extended warranty.
  • Lost Data.
  • Reinstallation of software for which the customer does not have the original software media and/or license.
  • Any external devices that are not considered to be part of the computer, such as battery backup units, cable modems, printers, scanners, etc.
